About The Role
The Public Relations and Content Manager is responsible for developing and implementing Alef Education’s integrated communications strategy across all channels, public relations, thought leadership, social media, marketing campaigns, and brand-driven activity on owned channels (website, advertising). The role owns Alef’s tone of voice and ensures consistency across every external touchpoint, in both Arabic and English. The manager translates business priorities into clear narratives, drives proactive brand visibility, and partners with marketing, leadership, and external agencies to deliver a unified, credible and impactful communications presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual communications plan, including monthly editorial calendars and tentpole moments across PR, social and marketing.
- Manage and lead PR and social media agencies end-to-end: scope, briefing, performance reviews, budget control and contract renewals; oversee freelancers, designers and influencer partners.
- Manage external stakeholder approval cycles for co-branded communications, partnership announcements, government and ministry releases and sponsor-facing content.
- Implement campaigns end-to-end across PR, social media, website, advertising and sales-enablement channels.
- Own and govern Alef’s tone of voice across all channels and both languages (Arabic and English).
- Position Alef’s executives as thought leaders in K-12 EdTech and AI through op-eds, keynotes and media features.
- Brief and oversee the PR agency, social media agency, freelancers, designers and influencer partners.
- Ensure brand consistency across the website, paid advertising, sales materials and all owned-channel content.
- Track communications impact: media coverage, share of voice, social engagement, sentiment and lead crisis communications when needed.
To Be The Right Fit, You’ll Need
- Educational degree in Marketing & Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Professional certification in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Content Marketing certifications (e.g., Google Digital Marketing, social media certifications).
- Media training or executive communications training is a plus.
- Strong understanding of PR strategy and media landscape.
- Content strategy development and editorial planning experience
- Experience managing corporate websites and digital content platforms (CMS).
- Familiarity with social media content optimization.
- Fluency in English and Arabic – strong translation and transcreation capabilities between both languages.
